It’s very hard to justify the opportunity costs on platinum when an ounce is the same as half an ounce of gold or dozens of ounces of silver. If you really want to diversify its worth the gamble but it is far less popular than gold and silver and I would argue the sentiment you find here is similar to the markets at large.

It can never hurt to diversify but it feels like a weird middle ground between the stable and trusted value of gold and it’s connected little brother silver with its wide room to grow.
