hard to say that if btc does its standard 30-40% drop that alts will all go with it
if you look to the past in the previous bullrun there are instances where alts will crab or even pump in usd vs btc dropping (slowly)
of course if its a big 10% in 10 minutes dump then everything goes but if its just a slow bleed then alts can go sideways then pump as btc bleeds (many instances in 2016 and 2017 of eth pumping against btc corrections)
also it depends what is that time frame for your prediction?
30$ is the next logical mid range target as the local 1.618 fib

well are you saying you have a big chunk of usd waiting to buy in, or do you mean just usd coming in monthly from a paycheck per say
if you already have good positions built you could save up that usd from your income and just keep it on the side for a big dip
or just dca it in as we go.
Definitely not too late to put new usd in. alts are just getting started ADA seems to be leading the pack and once it broke out of its previous local high (17 cents) its rocketed up to 35 in a mere couple of days
expect the same for link (this is how it went after the march crash too as in ADA led the pack, though link had higher % gains)
