Hey /biz/! Let me tell you a story.

I'm a brazilian oldfag. I've been shitposting here since 2011. Around july 2018 I was browsing /biz/ daily and link was being shilled heavily. After a couple of months I caved in and decided to buy some link, so I created an account on Binance.

I was ready to buy 3000 BRL (around 500 USD at the time) worth of LINK. I tried to transfer my money to the exchange but my bank declined for some reason. Maybe it was something about the amount, I don't know. I thought about it and realised that maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all.

Sure, I understood why link could potentially be revolutionary, but still, maybe I was wrong. Maybe I was being suckered into a 4chan scam. Maybe I would've needed that money for something else, that was all I had saved up to that point after all. Since I've always lived by myself and never had anyone to rely on financially, putting that money into something speculative was a huge risk.

Every few months I checked back on link, I saw it go to a dollar, to 10, to 20... always thinking "yeah I'm too late now, there's no way it'll keep going up". And here we are.

By my calculations, 500 USD would've amounted to 2500 LINK back then. If I sold the link that I never bought right now, I would have around 70K USD, or around 420K BRL.
A very nice house in my city goes for around 200K BRL. I could buy a house and still have plenty of money left. I currently live on a rented apartment. I'm alone and my friends forgot about me. I don't have a family. I've never had a girlfriend and I'm 28 years old.

I guess the moral of the story is: life is unfair and your dreams will never come true.
