Literally the worst performing coin in my portfolio

Can someone give me the simplest explanation as to why the value of Link would go up? I get the gist of what it does and it seems really interesting but I'm trying to figure out how that would lead to the token being worth a lot?

Where is staking? Sergey has access to funding in the hundreds of millions, dumping endlessly for months, but nothing? And please don't say they need time to "get it right", with practically unlimited resources it shouldn't take this long unless something is seriously wrong
