America is transitioning to Smart Factory manufacturing. The vast majority of factory workers are just 1 step in a process flow, doing simple algorithmic movements to inspect and reorientate a part. Once AI-driven manipulators are cheap enough to make (and repair) to replace them, they're not needed anymore.

The goal is to set up manufacturing facilities literally so it can be modeled and interacted with literally as if it were a Sims game. It's already happening
