I've been talking to a girl a bit. She's got many of the same interests and me and the conversation is flowing well. She also has 3(!) jobs, one full time and two side jobs with it. I don't even know if I want to be a programmer anymore. It's good pay and an easy job, but I'm in constant fear of the whole sham collapsing. I even looked on forums and shit to try and find people who left the CS industry but everyone just said "lmao why would you do that?"
It's about being GOOD at something, really. Taking it easy is fine for now, but I know that I could get fucked if it goes away since I'll have no real practical experience. I want to rely on my own skills instead of luck or a comfortable status quo.
