I've made so much shorting contracts the last few months that it's just house money. In seriousness I don't pay any attention to fundamentals or macro events. I just trend follow. As long as the trend is down for the VIX I'll keep shorting. When things turn the other way I'll stop out of that, all my S&P mini contracts, etc. Until then the party rolls on.
I mean just look at pic related. That's a roll adjusted chart of the front month VIX futures since 2020. Just straight down. Many millions of dollars have been made with no end in sight
