Should we start including allocated digital accounts in the op? Kinesis/onegold etc would at least allow lazy newfrens to buy better options than SLV (or even pslv) that can be redeemed in small quantities.

A generally accepted allocated platform would kill ((faggots))

No one is going to care if you want to swing trade SLV. Frankly it's the best way to do it because of its liquidity.

The argument is that all of this silver and gold that is held "in trust", even for major central banks, has been leased out to banks and metals traders because the trustees assume that 100% redemption will never happen (this is how fractional reserve banking started in the first place). This creates a situation where the price of the metal is artificially low because new money coming into the metals ends up being applied to the same bar that someone already owns. When Germany wanted their bars back from the NY Fed, it took years and they didn't get back the same serial numbers they originally sent the Fed.

The odds are that it won't fail right now, even if everything I just said is true. However, you have the option of buying 100% free and clear gold and silver for like 6% more than you buy SLV and it doesn't come with annual expenses. Even if they're 70% backed, you would probably be willing to pay 6% upfront (realistically cheaper if you hold long term vs SLV long term at 0.5%). And then you could always just by one of several allocated etfs instead of SLV, which have the same expense ratio. Other than trading, there is no reason to choose SLV.
