It also needs to be concentrated ya dingus, otherwise it wouldn't be economic. If you go by the percentages of the earth crust, then you are doing it wrong. Those numbers also include the infissible U-238.

Agree, but you are also ignorant of nuclears shortcomings. That isn't better. Nuclear is good for small, power hungry nations and for baseline electricity. That's it, no more.

It would also radiate if we didn't use it up in a reactor. Technically we are shortening the radiation of the whole earth, so it's a positive. When you mined uranium, you make the place where you mined it "less radioactive". Just put the used up (now less radioactive) waste products back into the earth (of course where it is safe to do so).
