You don't live in the mountains unless it's out of necessity or you have a good reason. People usually only live in mountainous regions if there's some kind of industry there, like ski resorts and other tourism, forestry, mining, and so on. Looks very nice and idyllic, but there are frequent savage snowstorms that make it inaccessible and the temperature can drop as low as -40 in absolutes.
