Who, the fag?
Meds, are you taking them anon?
This kid has no influence over the protocol.
He barely, if ever, talks on #monero-dev. He talks a bit on #monero-community and was forced to create his own workgroup called Monero Space where he could implement the "community rules" he wanted, since the overall community on IRC agreed that no rules was the best rule.
Now I'm not the biggest fan of faggots but it would be a disservice to not admit that he did good job talking about and promoting monero in 2016 when literally no one gave a fuck. He organized meet ups and monero clubs in his city to talk about monero. This should serve as a reminder that you should organize meet ups too or at least start red pilling your close friends and family on monero.
The battle against global tyranny is won by men getting together in small tribes and opting out on their own rules. More "monericas" have to appear elsewhere, at local levels. Circular economy is not a meme and if we get to have different circles of economies operating under the same standard it will make it easier to connect these economies without the influence of tyranny, without the influence of legacy power.

Yes, you're a transexual. I'm sorry this has happened to you.

The default state of a node is a "private full node". Just run monerod and sync the chain. You can run it behind Tor if you wanna go full schizo.

Yes, it's a mature project with a very important and precise objective: to provide the best money possible to its users, which forcefully includes privacy and fungibility. Its story is also very interesting. Most cryptocurrencies are forks (code base clone) of Bitcoin. Not Monero -- it uses the CryptoNote protocol as base layer, making it truly a great hedge against Bitcoin.
I've been spamming this post about the beginning of Monero lately but it's because I find it's a truly interesting and important part of Monero's life as a project: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0

The only reason I'm 60/40 BTC/XMR at the moment is that because I achieved a specific goal in Bitcoin and I don't want to sell. But all future investments are instantly going to Monero...

My understanding is that these protocols are going to be used by people who will create services that provide this capability: of transacting P2P in a safe and trust less way. Maybe the requirements are not that high: just leave your computer on with the client running so your offer doesn't leave the pool. You can improve on that and make something cool with it. But yeah, we will see about liquidity how's that gonna work. I don't expect a crypto ban, but bitcoin is going to be scrutinized by the powers that be and a lot of people will start noticing that it's better to hold your currency in something they can't monitor. Watch Dr. Daniel Kim's last presentation.

>Plus there's the bad caca site that publishes people's ips.
>IPs are not even correct
monero has dandelion++ mitigating this attack, these IPs are not even correct. fake ass website. and the government offering a bounty to break monero just proves the whole fucking point of this currency existing, so

>Why aren't both of Dr Daniel Kim's presentations listed in the OP
Honestly it comes down to character limit in the OP. Most newfags don't really read the OP, but I figure if they are curious enough they will read the brief summary and then get sucked into watching the redpill.
I was actually thinking yesterday about how much anons reference the Kim presentations, so I'm inclined to agree with you. Kim has the potential to be Monero's Andreas if he isn't already. He's going to have great perspective on crypto market prices in today's presentation.

Of course you should do your own research, but I am in complete agreement with you. Monero has use case, and this separates it from an entire market of scams and empty promises.
And to add to my earlier post, you asked if Monero being banned is feasible and the answer to that is no. Similar to Bitcoin, Monero as a tool can be used for illegal purposes, but so are countless things one can have in their possession legally (e.g. dollars, guns, cars). The government has zero legal precedence to ban a p2p cryptocurrency. Literally zero. An ensuing legal battle would be extremely complex and would involve every other cryptocurrency, so therefore the government isn't going to come right out and drop too much clout on Monero -- they don't want to tip their hand, so to speak -- so instead they do a mixture of the things I mentioned in the previous post. They are essentially running out the clock before Monero becomes well enough known, which at that point they hope to have enough of an understanding to trace it (and they won't).
Additionally, there has been a big movement lately within Monero for compliance, as we had the legal white paper that was released in the fall by Perkins-Coie, as well as 'Comply First', an outreach program funded by Tari Labs created to lobby towards exchanges that Monero is well within their legal right, and that the government is completely powerless legally do do anything.
