Q2 earnings may hit rock bottom but I think a lot of people are optimistic on Q3. We've also hit the bottom of unemployment which means that we'll see new hirings soon from companies that are reopening. Also airlines might recover from this so Buffett is not really thinking well on this one.

Q2 earnings report could still show a recovery despite everything closed down. Meanwhile, Buffett and Soros aren't doing anything, they have their slaves to do all the accounting. They're feeding insider info but that doesn't always mean that the info is correct. The strings are attached but not to the group they think they're controlling.

But that's to be expected. They even said that in the last earnings call that Q2 is kinda meh since it's directly before Ryzen. The thing where they could really shit the bed is by not having an amazing Q3 outlook.

What concerns me is why they postponed the earnings call by almost a week. What could be the reason for that?

Expectations for AMD's Q2 tomorrow? I assume they met or slightly outperformed the predicted target, with a strong outlook for Q3 due to Ryzen 3000 (and ROME releasing in August).

They have greatly decreased their debt and their real cash cow (Rome) is going to be released in August. Ryzen is merely a sideshow.

Ryzen 3000 NDAs are going to be lifted on Sunday, since that's the official release date. Should I short AMD tomorrow? Historically, the stock has always fallen after the release and the stock price right now is still pretty high.
