It's simple. Miners fail, they fail to innovate, they mismanage, they get complacent. New miners enter the market, they innovate, they out compete.

Proof of Stake: No competition. It's not really possible for new entrants to dethrone any incumbent powers. If you have the highest supply, you win forever, simple as. Ripe for abuse. Coupled with the fact that pretty much all coins that do this are premined shitcoins anyway.

Doomed to fail. Bitcoin's is a break through technology on so many levels. People still have no fucking idea why.
