My very personal and humble opinion is that it's preferable to buy a house in a western-friendly developing country and live there with minial expenses while trying to make it. In 10-15 years all that real estate that is super expensive in Western countries will be practically worthless. Real estate is highly illiquid and the more things go to shit the harder it will be to get your money back. Real estate is the ultimate boomer bags that you don't want to buy.
