Going to a LCS for the first time later today.

I want to make some good local relationships but also want to try out some of the others to see who's the best. There's a few others I want to visit but this one is first up and after talking on the phone setting up an appointment they seem like nice ppl, a husband and wife running a small store.

What do you look for in a good LCS? How big of a first purchase should I make? How sensitive and semitic should I be about premiums?
