nobody's shit talking Flare, i think it's a few posters trying to manufacture consensus. Flare (and Flare Finance) are going to be the way we make passive income off of our XRP holdings. Flare is going to be huge. It is going to change the way our world works. Smart contract functionality applied to blockchain tech. It will unlock the value inherent in these currencies- and everything else that can be bought or sold. it is a system for collateralizing assets and borrowing/lending them trustlessly- as well as gathering data on their price in a decentralized manner.

And Flare Finance, man...i don't even want to get into it. But nah, nobody's FUDding Flare. the posters who are posting weak shit about Flare Finance being a scam can't even back what they're saying up with an argument, because they don't have any. This shit is literally going to change the world. And we are the first people in the world to realize it. Do you realize how much power that gives us?

now that is an interesting post. has anyone attempted to contact the registered agents of these LLCs?

it makes me wonder about the ties (speculated on at least 2-300 /xsg/s ago between Ripple and the coming reset and precious metals. that was part of Mellon's prediction, wasn't it- that silver and gold would be tied to the value as part of a new reserve currency?

that's a very interesting thing to think about. especially with the new SDR distribution being debated by the G7 currently
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-g7-imf-idUSKBN2AB2CR

meanwhile the g7 is discussing digital currency at the same time

Ripple has patented On-Demand Liquidity (for cross-border payments, and everything else)

https://uspto.report/patent/grant/10,902,416

This is a big deal. Basically just secured its position as the bridge between all CBDCs

for the digital dollar, which will be a walled garden- same with the digital euro and swedish rijksbank's digital kroner and the digital yuan and yen and won...but all those walled gardens need a bridge asset, luckily there's one digital payments asset designed expressly for that purpose. if you can guess what it is you are only half a fag

what have you "won," exactly? why are you viewing this as some kind of competition? your word choice exposes your bad intentions.

one thing I don't see a lot of in this thread is actual discussion of XRP, or any cryptocurrency for that matter.

what do you think the implications of BIS piloting a platform for CBDCs are? personally, since BIS is the central bank of central banks, I think this is pretty important, because it will allow a framework for central banks around the world to "plug in" as they get onboard with the idea of CBDCs. additionally, it could function as an intermediary between public entities (like central banks) and private entities (like payment companies or digital assets like ALGO, XLM and XRP who are currently vying for the opportunity to host CBDCs on their blockchains).

In my opinion, the BIS custodying and using XRP is quite likely, and the announcement of BIS or different central banks holding XRP might be one thing that could precipitate the switch flip.

It's worth mentioning that BIS did a pilot test of digital currencies called project helvetia, which is connected to XRP in two ways.

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/bis-announces-successful-testing-of-cbdc-project-helvetia-with-snb-and-six/

First, the project was run with R3 Corda's Settler platform, which uses XRP as its native asset.

Second, it was done in partnership with Swiss digital asset firm SIX, who is currently working with SBI bank to create a digital asset firm in Singapore. As you probably remember, SBI's CEO Yoshitaka Kitao sits on Ripple's board of directors, and SBI holds nearly 9 billion XRP.

What do you guys think?

i imagine much can change in 2 years. if you can look at all the things happening right now with CBDCs and Ripple-connected people and projects being put in place, and not conclude that XRP will play a major role in a system which will go live very soon, then I don't know what to tell you.

so, I've been doing some reading on Bancor and Multilateral Clearing, the systems proposed by Keynes and Schumacher at Bretton-Woods in 1945, the conference which established the international economic system as we know it today. Some people think that XRP will be a supranational currency similar to Bancor. The BIS's announcement about an international CBDC settlement platform today lends that some credence, because CBDCs will need a bridge currency and XRP was pretty much designed for that purpose.
https://www.coindesk.com/bis-plans-platform-for-testing-central-bank-digital-currencies-in-cross-border-payments

Schumacher proposed a system called "multilateral clearing" where there would be a kind of central authority dealing with imports and exports and deficits/surpluses, which each country would pay in their native currency, pegged to exchange rates.
https://sora.one/hi/posts/multilateral-clearing
Reading this made me think about Ripplenet, where payment rails are established between currencies and liquidity pools held in the center in a neutral bridge asset (XRP) allow payments and transfers to be settled near-instantaneously.

I might be crazy, but i think we might be seeing the system starting to go live- the BIS's announcement today essentially formalizes what us schizos (and the weirder parts of the XRP community in general) have been saying for a while now: XRP is the standard. Perhaps this won't be led by the IMF, but the BIS- the central bank of central banks.

https://www.coindesk.com/bis-plans-platform-for-testing-central-bank-digital-currencies-in-cross-border-payments

BIS said the "proof of concept" platform will use multiple CBDCs "to explore the feasibility of faster and cheaper cross-border payments."
CBDCs were also listed as one of six "thematic priorities" for the year, alongside suptech and regtech, open finance, green finance, cybersecurity and next-generation financial market infrastructures.
Projects will be carried out across the three Innovation Hub Centres in Hong Kong, Singapore and Switzerland, as well as new centers planned for this year.
BIS has also just launched the “Innovation Network,” which will allow its 63 member central banks to share knowledge about technology projects such as CBDCs and discuss any related issues.
The new programs are aimed to builds collaboration around financial technology among the world's central banks.
