How do I negotiate salary? I've entered the world of white collar work and all the job postings are asking me to guess how much they pay rather than just saying so. I usually say "In relation to the job requirements I expect the salary to be within the region of X~" and say a medium number. From what I understand X will be the absolute ceiling the employer will consider and I should expect a few thousand below that. I'd rather negotiate down than up. How should I do it?

So last summer, my dad was trying to sell his lawnmower on eBay and asked if he could use my PayPal, I agreed.

Idk what he did on eBay but he got a well below asking price of €350 (wanted ≈€600).

He never accepted the offer but the money still went into my account and it was "under holding" by PayPal.

The buyer never made a dispute and I just assumed PayPal would give them back the money because my dad wasn't giving them the lawnmower.

Fast forward to today and I get two emails, the 1st saying the buyer has raised a dispute case, the 2nd (5 minutes later) saying the dispute was resolved in my favour; because they took >180 days to make a claim.

Can the buyer do anything else legally? I don't have the money to pay them back atm as I've unknowingly spent it over the course of the past year with small purchases here and there.

how do you become a cold hearted hard ass when it comes to making deals i always fucking cave and drop my prices i always fell like the other person can smell my desperation and how much i need this shit sold and give it to them
