i just wanna get high, but my supplier got pinched just before christmas

im out the door to see if new supplier has good shit, but i have a feeling ill need to be clean and sober from now on, unless i decide to just buy weed and try to fake any drugtest that comes with a job application (although clean scrubbing for a hairtest is spotty at best)

fuck, this next week or two is going to get rough

trading isnt about knowing how business and economics work, its about knowing how you react to good and/or bad news

when your long term pick drops suddenly, will you panic and sell, only to realize it was a mistake? when you hit your profit target will you get greedy and convince yourself that it will continue to rise, and hold onto it as it crashes eating up all of your gains? will you ignore other's advice because of your perfect TA, then watch the moon mission take off without you on board? will you find the buy of the century, only to watch it crash into the floor and delist?

the biggest obstacle to trading isnt math, it isnt the markets, its not even the other investors
the biggest obstacle in trading is you

you as in the decisions you will make in the future, you as in the decisions youve made in the past
not you in this moment right now, but the you who overslept and wakes in a panic at 11am and panic buys something when its already surpassed your target price. its the fight against the you in a few months, or few years, who has become apathetic to the losses those heavy bags are causing, so you just continue holding as the price drags down more
the you who decided to take a chance and gamble on a stock because a coworker suggested it
the you who is drunk as fuck 3 years from now, who accidentally sold one of your long positions

making profits is not a fight between you vs the market, its a fight between you and yourself
or in other terms, you need to predict how your id, your ego, and your super-ego will react in the future (and later, understand how they(you) reacted in the past

you can make money in a bear market, you can lose money in a bull market, the challenge isnt knowing what stock to pick, but how you will react, vs how you should react

the only thing you need to do to make money is buy low and sell high, thats it, nothing more

it's really quite zen
