Sam's advice is a really mixed bag, I've liked some of the things he's said but he also talks a lot of half truths and tends to project his insecurities.

For example, I dislike it when he says that all doors are closed to you when you reach 30.
It's true in the sense that you are unlikely to become proficient at something complex at that age, but I know it's bullshit because I have many friends who have taken up a trade in their thirties and some who have completed a university courses and successfully turned their lives around.

If I had heard that back when I was in my late twenties/early thirties, it would not have been helpful at all and I think it's really unhelpful to go around saying that when there's little doubt that a sizeable chunk of his audience are these late twenties, early thirties losers.
