Its over lads. Lost everything i could lose. Started a year ago with 500 $ from my summer job. Invested early in ETH and got to 2k. Told my parents about it. Tried to daytrade and got very enthusiastic. Biz and bittrex 24/7. Started Daytrading and learning everything about charts. Made some money, lost some. Lost 1k in a pump and dump. Couple of bad trades until i was left with 200 $. Tried to make it back with margin trading on Bitmex and got liquidated today. It was a nice ride /biz/ bros. Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Sorry for the blog post, but I found out about crypto on biz a year ago, made about $40000 all told from you guys, so I thought I'd share in case the info can help others.

It was a hard decision, I've been riding the ETH train since Feb. Made about $30000 riding it from 20. Panic sold most of my stack at $260 after correcting from $400.

At that time, after cashing out a lot I split my remaining crypto stack into 50% BTC and 50% ETH. It was a hard decision, because I had known about BTC since 2014 but never bothered to invest. I talked mad shit about it after Gox. My initial enthusiasm about ETH was to prove to myself that I wasn't an idiot for missing the BTC train.

Even so, BTC's invincibility convinced me to finally swallow my pride and buy about 2 BTC (which would have been 200 BTC at earlier entry points). I was now officially a "coiner."

As the months have passed, it has become increasingly clear that, at least in the near future, all of the crypto action is going to be in BTC. BTC fulfills the primary purpose of most crypto users - money laundering, dark transactions, capital control evasions, and yes, "digital gold." While ETH is amazing tech, the smart contract system is just not what people are interested in right now, won't be for years, and ETH's inflationary nature ensures it will never be digital gold.

So goodbye my little ETH buddies, you started my amazing crypto journey and improved my life in so many ways. But one thing I have learned from crypto investing is that there is no place for emotion. BTC is the winner, I will be 100% invested in the winner, yes, 3 bright shiny new BTC (3!!!)
