anyway, i asked LBRY about their approach to this exact thing and their answer is that they can't stop people from putting whatever they want on the blockchain, but LBRY's website/service controls what shows up on the LBRY website/service. so i guess that means that if pedophiles wanna upload child porn to the blockchain they can, but it won't appear on LBRY and if they want to make it viewable they have to build their own tools or websites for it. which seems fair, since then they're taking their own risks if they wanna build a PedoTube and be subject to their local laws and le anomynous vigilante guys like you hunting them down.

in other words, blockchain is basically just the cloud where the content is saved. it's up to people to interpret the data, so you'll end up with a situation not much different from the one we're in now, where the biggest sites are still held by the balls of advertisers and so they still enforce rules in accordance with the overton window (whatever it is at the time), except that maybe you'd start to see like a resurgence in locally-run apps to view certain types of content (AnimalTortureTube app), passed around by individuals instead of running on a server as an saas which gets pulled by your host or having your fucking domain revoked because of political complaints.
