/biz/:

How can one make large amounts of money outside of one's career?

Is Affiliate Marketing actually profitable, or wtf? This guy claims to be making six figures per month and owns several supercars at like twenty -- https://www.youtube.com/user/officialODi/videos.. Is this bullshit? He claims to make this from affiliate marketing from shitty sites like http://recordingnow.com/ which he owns.

Is it really possible to make that much money shilling headphones?

Similarly, people like Jake Paul ("influencers") literally make multiple millions per year on advertising and shilling their garbage branded merchandise.

All of this is going to my main question:

How can one make this kind of money without putting one's identity online. I feel like my professional career would be fucked if I started e.g. blogging or affiliate marketing on youtube.

Am I overestimating the professional risk? Maybe everybody nowadays is comfortable putting videos of themselves online...
