Morally I agree. However legally I struggle with where the line should be in government control. I hate big government. Prohibition brought about more taxation. I would be open to legalizing weed if there was stringent regulations into quality (no skunkweed and negroweed), high taxes that are used responsibly (huge ask, not likely, IL perfect example) and harsher penalties for DUI. Morons drive high all the time and we don't need more negros causing damage, mayhem and deaths (we already have more than enough). I don't trust consumers to be responsible and I don't trust government to regulate responsibly.
