From my experience, this is sound advice. I've never been diagnosed with ADD so I've never had easy access to Adderall. However, when I have taken Adderall, it was life on easy mode. I was literally better (faster, stronger, more dedicated, focused, the list goes on) at nearly everything I needed to do.

That being said, people who were prescribed it and took it every day always talked about how bad it was and how it ruined their mental or some shit. At first I thought they were bullshitting to make it seem like they were suffering even having this miracle drug, but enough people have told me that to the point that I believe it.

Therefore the best advice has to be: 1) get a prescription if possible, 2) use it as sparingly as possible, but 3) use it effectively. I think this way it will only benefit you, and you won't get the zombie mode side effects.

The unpopular but correct answer: you're not going to find the correct answer in the midwest or the south.

Being practical and putting all bias aside, probably some city on the West Coast or East Coast, close to important cities like NYC or SF, but with much, much lower living costs (and accordingly, possibly higher rates or crime/much shittier school districts) would yield the best results.

I'm a midwesterner, and all the MW/southern folk are going to tell you to move there, but it's all a lie. The low living costs are low for a reason in the midwest, and will stay that way for the foreseeable future - politicians in middle america don't put their focus on Tech. They put it on Big Farming, etc. Meanwhile, big Tech is the future. It's actually pretty simple. Look at the states on the outskirts of the big West/East states, and invest in them. Upper NY. Eastern PA. Arizona. Nevada. Etc etc. The fringe coast states are the future.

It's kind of funny/weird when you realize all these extremely intelligent and successful people, people that are firing at all cylinders at the highest level of whatever field they're working in, are still sexually inept freaks and have 0 (zero) useful input outside of the field they work in.

When you start to understand that, you start to understand why our world/country is so fucked up. Because people this smart like to think their knowledge applies across the board, but in reality they're savants who are extremely useful in one single field, and in regards to everything else they're the equivalent of a sexually perverted freak that society completely shuns - yet because of their success in that other field, society (sometimes) allows their degeneracy in the rest. Fucks everything up.

there are pros/cons to the city, just like everything. One of the big pros for me was the social scene. Good looking girls that are accessible. You don't need to be an 8+/10 to get girls in the city. Dating apps were like shooting fish in a barrel.

Cons are all the obvious shit. Polluted, noisy, can be extremely annoying, like riding the train to work and sweating your ass off on a hot summer day.

It wasn't for me but I get why people like living in the city, especially young people.

What's the right way to leave a salaried position 1 week in? I've read my employment contract several times, it's pretty clear than I can leave at any time, but I know it's not like food service where the process is simply taking of my apron and storming off.
