i agree with the desensitization
>be me - working class
>get interested in btc thru SR1
>figure if theres a market for drugs then it has potential
>fast forward 7 years
>my holdings have fluctuated from eye watering numbers to pink wojaks
>ive taken minimal profits
>currently split btc/eth/link
its weird because you try to talk to normans or even bizraelis about it and they dont understand.
theres a paralysis that occurs, not only that but i look at the gains made and lost in this period - the long term looks much better than a short n quick few mil right now that knowing me - id blow on dumb shit and be broke again in 3 years.
i look at crypto as my security, i believe its where the future is and im comfy holding onto my ticket into that future.

I'm 100% in agreement with you.

I think the real, non-meme answer is: most people are going severely into debt to afford a similar lifestyle their parents had. There's no way around it. I have insane student loans, I may never be able to afford a house. My parents will never see the reality of that; they can't. My mom will literally say things like, "Just get a better paying job." Kind of a based boomer mentality but it's painful to know I'll never be able to afford a decent life for my kids.

Maybe that's how it's supposed to be; a couple generations get nice things, a couple generations have to suffer and build for the next. Maybe that's just how society moves forward.

Don't an hero and do not give away your LINK for the love of God.

You can always post here and talk to the schizos/pajeets/rebbitors on /biz/. It sucks being lonely but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have 0 (zero) data to back this up. I'm conjecturing mainly based on 2 things:
1) zoomers were born into the current technology meta. They've grown up on youtube, snapchat, tik tok, instagram and they know how to make money off of it. I'm willing to bet they make the most money off of social media out of any generation. That's only going to increase going forward, and will only become more important; and
2) millenials will never have our boot on the neck of zoomers like Boomers do for us. From what I can tell, Millenials lack the means to stay in the most powerful positions until we're 80 years old, because most Millenials aren't even in those powerful positions NOW. By the time Boomers relinquish powerful positions, we'll be competing with zoomers for those positions. We already are.

I don't want to say millenials are the "forgotten" generation because that's too forgiving and self-serving. We're the cuckold generation or something. Pathetic generation that didn't fight for opportunities and instead gave up.

The appeal of England/UK to me would be that, it's shit, grey and everyone's an alcoholic, but it's cool because it's shit, grey and everyone's an alcoholic.

I could definitely get by with a mediocre job and a shitty flat on the outskirts of London, in fact I think I'd love it.

Exactly. I want to find some way to earn a minuscule secondary income via BAT (likely from YouTube, I like to draw/animate so I'll shill BAT on my youtube channel and hopefully earn donations there), then I want to eventually use my earnings on crypto betting platforms.

Goddamn chainlink oracles really open up some insane possibilities with betting - could streamline everything. "X happens -> Oracle pays out BAT to whoever bet on X happening." If only there were a way to bet without KYC too. I want decentralized streamlined betting, using cryptocurrency.

that's a really solid point about how these things happen. Literally everyone knew about apple back in 2009 2010. People were just consciously ignoring it for whatever reason. Looking back it seems like such an obvious investment.

BAT has all of that "obviousness" but just never seems to fucking move upward. It's a strange feeling.

>>16954095
Interesting perspective. I care very much about the project and its goals, maybe 50/50 with as much as I care about making money. I appreciate the pure "make me money" view for obvious reasons and I feel like BAT has been a total flop in that regard.

I was trying to make a point about this to my bernie bro friends. All you need to do is look at Venezuela and what has happened to that poor fucking country.

Instead they argue that it's America's fault the bolivar is worth fucking less than toilet paper. Yes, America's sanctions cause Venezuela to devalue their currency to nothingness.

Loads of folks just refuse to acknowledge careless monetary policy. They just don't understand it.

I got an email from a recruiter for a job that pays 30 an hour. I make 20 an hour and will be making 22 in a few months, and eventually I will make 30
Here

What does biz consider when job hopping? The wage is so tempting but I have a great schedule and would probably have to work dumb ass 3rd shift again and be in line for a day shift job for the rest of my life. I’m on day shift and comfy, everything is comfy but my pay mediocre (amazingly there are places that pay lower but only cucks would accept that

There are plenty of places where I could get a significant raise but my schedule is so good and I’m lucky because at this company in other departments doing the same thing people are going to have to wait 5-10 years to have a chance at day shift.

TLDR but I've settled down with a girl that I love and I'm no longer much interested in thot posting

It's nice to see a big fat butt, but then I immediately realize I will never have sex with that woman and my brain just ignores it. I'm moving my focus to more important things.
