Not going to argue the danger, obviously would be, but when something has:
100% plausible deniability
quite likely able to target only certain demographics
quite likely to have some sort of antidote/vaccine already in place for those on the right side
wont destroy infrastructure/farmland
There is the very real possibility that if your side does not do this first, the other side most certainly will.
Its not MAD, first to go through with it, wins.
Land and elimination of rivals is still a very strong enticement, especially for china, stoking more fears of "they will do it first if we dont"

then chances are it may very well be used, unforeseen consequences be damned.

Glad for you, fren. Just be aware of it in general, pharma really LOVES to hype the products in their pipeline ... while their research depts know damn well that whatever they are working on is quite likely bullshit or at least not nearly as effective as those flipchart managers are communicating. Would say it is safe to ride that train until they actually try using it on patients. ;)
