Is the fed legally allowed to buy stocks?

I could imagine emergency changes to allow it desu just tossed in with the other emergency budgets being passed by congress.

Trump is willing to do ANYTHING to keep the market up, and I really think the fed the fed seems like they're getting more and more serious about it.

I'm worried that they'll keep trying till one day there's an emergency meeting or a trump conference where there's a surprise announcement that they're going to just buy equities directly

Slightly green on fidelity due to going all in there near the top of the pump. Getting nervous but there's enough negative events coming that I think we go back down.

All my puts expire months out so I am not too worried about waiting
