Help me understand this because the numbers don't look good.

At 22 JAN expiry, if I sell a single SPY put at a strike of lets say 330, the premium is only $30. And if my put gets exercised I have to buy 100xSPY @ 330, which is a shit load of cash. And for all, assuming it doesn't hit the strike, I only made 30 bucks? Something doesn't seem right here - I would only do this if the premiums were way higher. What am I missing?

someone explain to me what Jerome & the FED are doing, and why this is an issue long-term? the way I understand it is in these terms: he's stopping the bleeding now, but there will still be issues down the road. explain this to me like you would a 7th grader, because, in case (You) forgot, I am clinically retarded.

You realize he can buy XRP without publicly announcing it right? Do you think every insider and elite who theoretically know about XRP mooning would rather quietly accrue it or go on twitter spouting JUST BOUGHT MORE XRP $2K EOY OOOOOOOO

How do you find high volatility stocks to trade spreads & iron condors on? Selling an iron condor on something like KO isn't worth shit. If I understand it correctly, the whole reason the premiums on these sorts of things are juicy is because the volatility of the underlying is higher. And if the volatility of the underlying is higher, then the stock has a greater chance of being ITM, yes?

Looking for some help with in Thinkorswim.

How do I view the "latest" P/L Chart of an option that I own? I know how to view the P/L Chart of an option I plan to buy (just right click->analyze trade), but I can't seem to figure out how to do this for an active option that I have.

What is the argument for there being a "correction" / "sell off" soon? Ultimately, we'd have to have more sellers than buyers, and presumably, the market is mostly made up of large investment players. So what would drive them to sell off?

Options question:

I bought a 4SEP20 QQQ 286 put the other day for like $350. QQQ has recently soared but is now dipping and at 289.44. My put is now worth MORE than $350, and yet the market price is still greater than the strike price. How is this the case? Wouldn't the put premium only be positive if the market price of the underlying was LESS than the strike?

so I sold my first covered call today at a strike of 3.5. stock is trading at like 3.490, and it has previous hit 3.5 today. when will my call get exercised? I guess it's really just up to the call holder to exercise it?

Please clear up some "advanced" options questions for me; iron condors

1) when would I want to close out on my position? If the market price is getting closer to my bounds?

2) how would I close my position? buy back the exact call and put that I wrote? That would then get me to Profit = (initial premium I received) - (cost of call & put that I bought back), yes?

Iron condors on KO look pretty comfy..

I am just learning about The Wheel and cash covered puts and all that and I need some help solidifying my understanding ...

So BAC trades at $26.47 now, and by 21 AUG 20 I do NOT think BAC will be above $29. And yet...if I sell / write a 29 strike 21 AUG 2020 put I can make $251 in premium. I can then expect to get assigned, thus having to buy BAC at $29/share = $2,900. Can't I just turn right around and sell those 100 shares of BAC back on the market for ~$2,900 and keep my whopping $251 premium? The worse case scenario (i.e. me getting assigned) seems OK to me even if I don't like holding 100 BAC because I can just turn around and sell it. What am I missing here?

New to options here. When you sell a covered call, are you the one responsible for updating the ask price or is it done automatically?
Been watching the bid/ask prices on some options vary throughout the last couple days. I've seen the ask vary from 0.51 to 1.03.
