This is exactly why I say that you should buy fractional gold coins or 1oz gold coins as it gives you more liquidity options. He's not the only one to make this rookie mistake, I did to when I brought a couple of gold bars. I have now sold them and then brought a 1oz gold coin and two double sovereigns. Best decision I made considering the new CGT rules that are coming into play soon.

You're only feeling regret because you're new and haven't had your feet in the market long enough to see the patterns. As of now it looks like the current price is going to be the average price going forward. The incline is more gradual compared to the previous inclines that were sharp.

Also you're not alone in feeling like you've lost out on some capital with some bad choices. I brought gold bars when I should have brought gold coins to be capital gains tax free. I've sold them now, but if I knew this stuff back then I would have more metals than I do now.

Can I ask what your plan is to selling your gold, or more specifically what are your personal limits.

1. Only sell gold privately (why?)
2. Sell above spot but competitively below premium?
3. Sell online or only in person?
4. Only sell at coin fairs?

How would you go about making contact with someone who wants to buy?

Also considering you're the one with Sovs, can you show me the sizes of them in comparison to a pure 1oz gold coin please as I want to visualize the size of them.

I've just been in a similar boat to you anon. Instead of buying more PM I had to cough up over a grand for a new laptop because the thing is falling apart (makes a change from the internals failing). Still, now is the best time to get one before the money printer devalues fiat even more.
