early bitcoiners were also anti-hoarding and encouraged community to spend everywhere, from pizza to silk road. it’s a 4d move both for adoption and long-term value. no reason to ever hoard it if it never has the utility of a basic currency. monero already has at least that.

Confidential computing is the ability to process confidential data in a privacy preserving way, with end-to-end encryption. This is not possible with ZK proofs. Zero-Knowledge Proofs allow a prover to convince a receiver that a certain input is true without the receiver having to see the input. This definitely has a ton of good use-cases, but it's limited because it's not end-to-end privacy. For end-to-end privacy you need something different, which is where TEE's (Trusted Execution Environments) come into play. TEE's allow for encrypted data to be processed without the underlying data ever being revealed, not even to the person processing it, because it all happens inside of a secure lockbox within a CPU that no one, not even the host, has access to. This is also called a secure enclave.

One of the biggest things holding "crypto" and Web3 back at the moment is the lack of privacy preserving techniques. Why is this important? Because there are literally hundreds if not thousands of use-cases where privacy is necessary, such as when dealing with an individuals private data, or when dealing with game logic such as the answers to puzzles or fog of war, RNG, or when large enterprises don't want all of their data and information being public. These use cases extend very far, even into healthcare data, AI, and much more. The lack of privacy preserving techniques has more or less brought innovation in Web3 to a stand still, and are the literal missing key to the next frontier in DeFi and beyond.

There is precisely 1 (ONE) reliable project right now that is working to solve this problem, and it many ways, already has.

Do you know what it is?

I know you're baiting, but for the newfags wondering what the fuck this guy is on about: He is LARPing as a butthurt ETH maxi that is beginning to realise ETH is slowly being demoted to a L1 smartcontract settlement layer instead of the World Super Computer Vitalik envisioned. They believe ETH will make an end to corporate centralization and all it's ails, by moving everything on-chain. Chainlink however, wants to connect legacy corps, private chains and public chains through decentralized oracles, allowing legacy banks and corps to take advantage of blockchain tech without giving up control, basically smashing Vitalik's libertarian dream.

This is why Vitalik/ETH maxis are always so butthurt when it comes to LINK, especially when someone mentions it's blockchain agnostic. In their minds, in the end there will be only one chain, and that chain is ETH. That line of thinking leaves no room for an Oracle project like LINK. LINK is just some niche ERC-20 shitcoin to them, fullfilling a small task within the ETH ecosystem. Unfortunately for them, it's the other way around: ETH will be a part (albeit an important part) of the Chainlink ecosystem.

Much like Bitcoin maxis, they got stubborn and complacent, unable to grasp usecases that exist outside the scope of their chosen coin. Just imagine being a Bitcoin maxi in 2016 and not seeing the potential ETH had "because smart contracts are not that important and BTC will get them too anyway". ETH maxis are in the same boat currently, unable or unwilling to see LINK for what it is: The next step in blockchain development and real world adoption.

>Decentralized oracles are not that important and ETH will get them too anyway t. ETH maximalists

This.

And technically Chainlink isn't actually released until they transition into giving up control once the network has enough of a starting boost.

Serious thread.

I'm a day trader and I have a big problem: when some trade is green I always cut them so fucking quick. I'm good at detecting when the price is going up but i can't let the price go up without selling.

Literally sometimes I sell at +1% when the price almost achieves +40%.

I know this is a common problem, how the fuck i solve this shit

Banks will now stake customers deposits on all major chains to get interest (why else do you think they'd be custodians?)

All major banks will promote cryptocurrency deposits to maximise deposits.

Grasped the magnitude of this yet?

I'll let you in on a little secret

Yes nobody gives about an outdated bitcoin anymore, its dried up and this should have been obvious to you ever since it started crabbing for MONTHS.

The market is preparing for an Ethereum flippening by hyping up DeFi first. This will all slingshot back into Ethereum, giving it such an insane amount of momentum as the new #1 more advanced replacement that it will actually flip Bitcoin within the next few months.

Bitcoin will still be around as a nostalgia coin, probably crabbing around #8 - #10 for a while before slowly dropping into the background.

You're welcome.
