I'm saving this post for next time I feel like I'm wasting my buying power by selling. That makes a lot of sense, I really didn't appreciate the downsides of option buying there. I feel like you could take less of a risk on magnitude if you sold them at a later expiration, but then the volatility wouldn't be as high.

I'm not following exactly, what do you mean that they are at 1:1 odds? I picked 25% of my buying power because that puts roughly a 20% risk even on the biggest movements due to intrinsic value. It sounds like you are talking about the options themselves which intrigues me.
