Sup anons

I finally decided to stop being a lazy retard and bought $20k of ETFs today since they're apparently safe for long term holding. I didn't invest too much of my savings but I realized just having savings sitting around is not helpful to my future at all.

I was tempted to do some shit like buying $HAL or $LUV but who knows how those guys are going to turn out, you know?

Wish I had balls. Anybody here had any success with ETF stuff long term? And how did it affect your experience with the stock market? Did you learn anything new over the years or is it just like a buy and forget about it kind of thing?
