Can anybody please spoonfeed me on YF/LM? I have 54k link and I'm willing to gamble 4k of them to try this bullshit. What I don't get specifically: what do I do with the yaLINK I receive from yEarn in step 3? the next step says I'm supposed to deposit stablecoins into Curve's Y pool, is that the one shown yEarn vaults (called curve.fi/y LP)? and where do I get those stablecoins from exactly?

Alright you big brained Chads I want to take advantage of this Yearn shit but don’t want to risk my precious stinks I want to insure my link so if their smart contract fails or some other sketchy shit happens I’m covered
I heard about Nexus Mutual potentially being able to achieve this what are some other alternatives or am I just too early on this whole defi insurance thing and need to wait for the entire space to mature
As far as I’m concerned defi insurance plus Yearn is the holy grail of passive income for long term link holders
Academics pls respond

Considering shoving my entire 50,000 link stack into this magical yearn vault I keep hearing about on here it just seems like too sweet an opportunity
As far as I understand it the only risk is having my link locked up for a while if it flash crashes
Let me get this straight
Use zapper with my metamask to do the necessary moves to get my 50,000 link somehow deposited and converted(?) to yaLINK (aLINK?) for 40% per year the only major risk being the aforementioned lock up if things go south
Is this even any riskier than staking 50,000 link via a cex like Crypto.com because I just completed a three month term with them at 6% and they could theoretically exit scammed at any time however unlikely
Since aave and yearn are decentralised platforms this vault staking phenomenon is theoretically safer no? From reading these big brained threads I don’t understand why we all shouldn’t just but up and do this if we’re all holding long term anyway it seems like the future
Please fud me otherwise I won’t be able to resist it sounds like fucking gravy my dudes I just want to be able to pay Pinoy whores to anally ejaculate gravy all over my face while injecting heroin every day it’s my dream guise

You're better of reading and re reading this until you get it because it's as diluted as it can get without lying by omission.

Easiest way is zapper.fi. please note that this has a lot of risk in it, so don't use more than 10% of your stack imo. And it has to be enough to justify the gas costs. Also the strategy in pic is not the current strategy but gives you an idea.

It's not risk free, but here is one way. I only farm 10% of my stack.

yaLink vault, or deposit to aave, pull out usdc and use that to farm.

> deposit scam coin to act as collateral for another even scammier coin
> Hedge against it with multiple scam coins pic related
> Value of the deposited coin goes down
> You now owe money and are left holding shit like yam and sushi

When it comes to doing it with LINK pic related is a pretty good explanation. This is all abstracted out by the yaLINK yearn vault. I am in a similar spot to you, I have a 33k stack and I'm too scared to risk a significant portion of my stack on it. I did put 1000 LINK in though just to see what it was like. Gas wasn't so ridiculous when I put that in though, not sure if it would be worth doing today. I think I spent like $40 end to end when I got my LINK into the vault a week ago, wouldn't be surprised if you'd be spending something like $200 today.

For all the boomers itt, https://zapper.fi/
You can easily zap in an asset (eth for example) to the ycrv vault. Rememeber me when they crucify me for leaking alpha. If you are a based link holder you can do similar to the yaLink vault. Keep in mind that a smart contract bug, or stablecoin losing its peg could lead to complete loss of funds, so don't put your whole stack in. There will be insurance options for a fee in the future.

Here is a rough illustration of what is going on with the yaLink vault. Keep in mind though this is just one strategy, and the vault can use many different strategies to farm the best yield.
