Right now, the US has a chance to contain China (IP theft, cooking their books, etc). They're putting pressure on them which makes absolute sense and use the US economy as leverage. If Trump gets re-elected, things will be fine; if the Dems win, the US will pull out of the trade war and we will have a massive Chinese problem in 20-30 years.
