It fills me with spasmodic glee to get rich off the backs of deluded leftists. However, at the moment ETH isn't doing too well so I've had to sit it out. When the dip gets sweet enough though, I'll get back in and ride it to new riches. Then I'll donate some to my favorite right wing causes. Feels pretty good.

I'm in the second half of my 20s and I am worrying about not having any expertise in anything.

I did a technical degree that I hated. Now I am in a respectable but totally brain-dead office job. I have horrendous social skills. I worry that if I don't get skills then my life will be miserable because I'll always be scrambling.

Of course, all the really successful people in the world all went the BS career route, with no hard skills, but I am not a type A networking Oxbridge normie.

There is a lot of room to advance in my current industry but the job is braindead so it would rely on people skills. The work can be interesting and big picture but the employees are detached from the real world consequences, so it can still feel meaningless. And my experience here, apart from managing, isn't very transferrable.

I am going to apply for finance jobs in the autumn. Clearly if I get accepted by investment banks I'll work for them, but is it worth starting an accountancy graduate scheme at my age? Some dull as dishwater big 4 audit or tax job? On the one hand, I'll have skills. On the other, it'll feel like my upside is limited and predictable and I will have resigned myself to being dull.

Other options: Law, but that's not worthwhile if I didn't go to Oxbridge. Medicine, but it would cost lots of time and money to study and I literally dgaf about helping people. A technical science skills related career: pays like absolute SHIT in the UK.

Programming is another option but the highest tech salaries in the UK get to is around £80k. Tech is very fast growing, and the work might be actually intellectually rewarding (is it?)
