Here's a blackpill:

The principles that made Bitcoin special in the beginning and the technology that made it possible do not matter. People will continue to buy Segwit. It doesn't matter that it literally doesn't work. People only keep it on exchanges and the amount of people who use non custodial wallets will continue to drop simply because the costs of using it will continue to rise. Further no apps can be developed on Segwit and merchants continue to drop it as a payment method. It isn't even used on the Dark Web anymore.

The bankers were successful in capturing Bitcoins disruptive potential by suppressing scale and censoring opponents. It doesn't matter that Lightning Network doesn't work or that it defeats the point of a blockchain entirely. They've already crafted a narrative and culture of keeping Segwit in custodial wallets and using third-party payment processors for transactions. They did this despite the literal reason Bitcoin exists is to take out the middleman. Because they've inserted themselves in the middle of Bitcoin transactions and prevented users dro, from using the Blockchain themselves, they've also given themselves the ability to do a fractional reserve system they control.

The good guys don't get to win merely because they are just. The federal reserve has existed for over a hundred years and Hitler lost.

There was never any value in trading shitcoins so mETH heads moving to a chink spreadsheet because Vitalik is a moron isn't anything to be sad about.

BTC almost only exists within custodial wallets and will only become more so as price increases and users are priced out of using the Blockchain entirely. Its not all bad. You can still make money on numba go up, but the possibility of the tech actually being disruptive is fucking gone.

There was a window in which a monetary revolution could have occurred, but that time has long since passed. Its unironically over. They won again.

They will never get punished and they stand the most to profit from all this.
