I love how despite everyone saying this was a scam 2 weeks ago, it actually got fucking listed on Sushiswap with an insane APY proving they want the project to succeed. Anyone not getting into BAO is missing out so hard on the comfiest hold of the fucking year. They still think this is a farm token without taking a look at its white paper and realizing that what the stock markets pulled this week is EXACTLY why BAO is going to be succeed when synthetic assets come out. No way to limit people's buying of shares on a decentralized version of GME.

None that's the point of synths, they are collateralized by different collateral and act similar to the underlying asset but don't represent it.

And really the power of synths isn't in tracking stocks or things that already exist (that's what most people think and its boring). Really if you want a stock you can go buy a tokenized stock.

Whats cool is the power of synths to make financial markets that don't exist today. Like tying a price to the unemployment report, that people can buy and sell.

Because then you can imagine a world here you could predict accurate data through data markets better than any analyst, or a world where people's compensation can be tied to other events. Imagine if politicians started getting paid in synths that represented inverse-unemployment numbers, their regions GDP, and a happiness index of their region. They'd be pretty motivated to solve those problems stuck_out_tongue

People think of synths as just making synthetic versions of what already exist. That's a market worth billions.

But with blockchain tech, what is more interest is making markets that couldn't already exist. That's a market worth trillions.
