They are not. At some point either the market or the dollar dies. If I learned anything from investing it is that reality and stock price will, at some point, meet again.
Right now stocks are inflated, some argue because of low yields, some argue because the financial singularity is here. But this stuff never worked and always ended in a period of stagnation at best or a crash at worst.
And yes, the market can stagnate for 10 years and not go anywhere.
