You don't know how to read financials and profit. A growth phase company like AQB is going to be in the red for years because it's spending a lot more on expansion than it is on actually producing things. That's how business works.
A company's worth is tied to things like these and the end-game numbers. For example, at full capacity with just its two farms, AQB is profitable with or without GMOs in a market which virtually cannot see any disruption ever. In other words it's completely safe. Their production capacity and their currently good leadership is propping them up. What's more, in their field, they're comparable to Atlantic Sapphire, for example, which doesn't have the same advantages as AQB and yet is worth more. AQB is worth less right now because it's not done its growth phase and is in the process of ramping up market share. It's also not decided how the GMO vs non-GMO thing will play out.
The point is, lrn2stocks.
