I don't let myself gamble. There always has to be a reason for a trade. There has to be an upcoming catalyst. It would be better if I'd wait for the catalyst to happen first. But I'm often frontrunning by going with the current trend of data. It's halfway gambling but I still manage risk.

I use protective puts and covered calls, which are also a risk. But I use these to preserve my wealth.
