People can raise gods up in their hearts, but they are devils or sometimes literally inanimate objects

1 Corinthians 10:20
“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.”

There are beings that are called gods, but only one God.

I guess you could view them as demi-gods. As long as you know Christ your saved, and it's unnecessary to get caught up in the dogma.
I don't like to argue about differences with my brothers in Christ and instead like to focus on what we agree on "Jesus is Risen", "Jesus is Lord"

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
