We have this thread so often. The link conversation has evolved over the months. There was a point where people would just answer these threads. It just gets so tiresome regurgitating the same points, not to mention half the posts on any link thread are pasta, including this one.

There's also the element of not wanting newfags in the club, people who haven't suffered for a year, watching their bags tank.

The truth is link has a lot of potential. You're better off going on the linktrader subreddit and looking at old posts to get an idea of why it's a good moonshot. If you're not willing to do that, fuck off.

Here's a freebie, a project like link needs to exist. Without access to off chain data, blockchains cannot move beyond tokenisation. It's like a computer, useful by itself, but with access to the internet, it can do a while lot more.

I'm not denying that. But link is so general, basically everyone has a use case. Every large data company has connections and a use case for link. It's interesting that an employee of theirs is working on link, but it doesn't look like much to me. Lots of devs work on stuff unrelated to their jobs.
