intel can suck a fucking dick, I've had my i7 4790K for more than 5 years now and after the spectre/meltdown patches I've noticed a severe drop in performance and now there's going to be another one?

at this point what's the reason for buying any intel product, when it's literally going to be like apple products whose performance gets kneecapped a few years in? but unlike apple it isn't due to them being greedy fucks but rather them being fucking incompetent when it comes to hiding their spyware
