true. i remember that, they put in the wrong ticker and switched gold and silver if i remember right

no point jumping to conclusions before we see an explanation of the issue. the tweet is pretty vague

coinbase can have my $15 or so every time i make big moves, they've more than served their purpose as my fiat on-ramp
not to mention providing me with FDIC insurance on my shitcoins

their fees are truly nothing to me, not even trying to be a humblebrag faggot but i bought stacks of LINK in 2017 so im fine with cb getting their cut

folding is profitable at the moment because the COMP token is so expensive

the COMP you earn from utilizing the compound platform in the first place is what drives the profit in folding.
without COMP token, folding would not be profitable. which is why folding became such a big meme when the COMP token was finally released a few days ago.

the people folding are accruing COMP as their source of profit, and to realize that profit they must, at some point, sell the COMP tokens they accrued

>Too bad I went all in LINK and barely caught the biggest crypto bull in history.
Holding LINK during the previous 2017-18 bull run was admittedly painful. I would be lying if I said my confidence did not waver during these times. Fortunately, I also played around with funny money on a few projects and caught some of the largest % gains of my entire life. Some notable ones were Antshares, TRX, and ZRX. I own 0 of those 3 coins now.

>What made you buy LINK, OP?
I took the smart contract pill.
This is the tl;dr of what could be an extremely lengthy response.
I have always been, and still am very skeptical of the "cryptocurrency will become a viable global currency" meme. I think it's a pipe dream at best. I see the advantages, but the powerful entities of earth will likely stifle this from ever becoming a reality.

On the other hand, when I finally understood the advantages of smart contracts as it relates to various industries around the world, it grabbed my attention more than any other psuedoanalysis about cryptocurrency I had ever seen.
After taking the smart contract pill I basically went all in on the leading smart contract facilitators in the crypto space. For me this was ETH and LINK.

>if no person can convince anyone to bet on something in just one paragraph then the thing you are betting at is literally worthless.

to understand why chainlink has value you must first understand why distributed ledger technology (blockchain) has value
then you must understand why a DAPP platform like ETH has value
then, and related to the above, you must understand why smart contracts have value

then you must understand why oracles bring value to smart contracts

to understand all of that in under a paragraph is quite literally impossible.
i dont really care if you buy link or not, im just explaining that when you invest in an oracle technology, which brings value to smart contract technology, which brings value to distributed ledger technology, you must understand all of the layers.

basically what >>17526377 said

it would be an Ethereum vs Ethereum classic fiasco again
except this one would be a lot more of a scandal and probably put a stain on crypto for the rest of eternity

that, and the fact that there are so many genuinely turbo autistic NEETs watching the BTC blockchain that if anyone came close to performing a 51% attack it would be found out the very second they turned their mining farm online, and any reputable centralized exchange would halt all withdrawals, and disable margin trading within minutes

the general idea is that in cases where there is a dispute, it may in fact require human arbitration to occur
however in 99% of B2B scenarios, fraud isn't a high concern, these are businesses which have existing partnerships/contracts/business_relationships with other businesses, and they (in the overwhelming majority of cases) act honestly.

smart contracts enable massive amounts of money saving in these overwhelming majority of B2B transactions, and when there is a hiccup, they just use the method theyve been using for the last 50 years, humans

So your rebuttal is that it will take time for this to mature and become usable in a real world scenario that enables a company to increase profit margins?
Okay I agree. This is likely a few years away from becoming a reality.

I don't think that in the year 2020 Geico is going to lay off 10,000 employees and replace them with smart contracts. But over the next 5-10 years I absolutely believe this will happen.
It's not really an argument of "if" but "when"

If you dont see value in investing before potential is fully realized, then that's on you

entry level tech support , use that to pivot into a higher level IT role.

potentially in development or cybersecurity.
but entry level IT jobs pay $20 hr where i live and when i worked there last year i worked with literal boomers who could hardly use computers themselves.

its easy brah, just learn the ins and outs of solidity, ethereums smart contract language

and once youve learned it thoroughly enough to write your own smart contracts that execute these operations
then learn it even more so that you can understand other peoples significantly more advanced smart contracts
then find logic errors in their smart contracts and exploit the logic errors

ive written a few shitty smart contracts, just to make my own shitcoins and to execute automatic payments. but nothing of this scale.
and im pretty decent with python, but solidity is reasonably complex when you get into advanced smart contracts

P.S.

its because if one person pays $10 for .001 QNT then 1 QNT is seemingly worth $10,000
despite no person on earth paying $10,000, but rather only $10, the QNT/USD price is (for just a moment) absolutely skyrocketed

last time i spoonfeed summerfags

You guys are so fucking stupid, chasing dreams like children
Why not invest in something that will actually go up instead of buying these dumb coins that only go down?

Seriously, its so easy to buy a solid index fund or some government bonds. Fucking idiots.
Maybe some day you'll grow up and understand what it's like to be an adult.
Pic related, its what a real man looks like.
