I can't do it anymore.

I deliver prescriptions and medical equipment to disabled people in my own vehicle. My boss is physically disabled and bid low in this contract to keep his business going, as such, I only make $15 an hour, there's no money for a raise.

My little truck is getting worn out and when it's at the mechanic shop, it costs me over $100+ per hour to have work done to it. Parts are harder and longer to get meaning I have big down times and often pay premiums on everything. Gas for short work days coming into town means I make almost nothing. Everyone I deal with is very poor and can't tip.

Gave a 3 week notice and I'm moving on. No one is taking my position, all of the people I work with know me on a first name basis on rely on me, and they're likely going to now have to pay big delivery fees or take public transit and ubers when they're ill, disabled and largely just barely making ends meet. One 82 year old woman I deliver to was skipping meals and now will have to pay 3x delivery fees on her oxygen tank and med deliveries. That's $40 more a month she doesn't have.

I calculated and over the last 3 months with all expenses and deductions, I made about $9/hour. I feel like jumping off a bridge myself and guilt has kept me in this bad financial situation too long.
