Why do people recommend buying and holding crypto during a bull run so often?

When the crash happens, and it will, the entire crypto market will drop over 80% and some coins will just get outright deleted. Why the hell would you buy now and hold it during this crash when it will take one or two years before your investments recover? You should be swinging like crazy.

Bull runs are for taking profits. Buying and selling. Bear markets are for buying and holding.
