>Do you feel like buying shares for short term (day trading/swing trading) is less effective than option trades? I've been doing a lot of research and this week I learned about calls/puts since I saw some really impressive portfolios in a group I'm in from guys that almost strictly option trade.
I'm gunna start this with pic related. If you don't know who the "Oracle of Omaha" is it should be a message to yourself right now because he's a legend in the investing world.

Go google survivorship bias. Go read "A Random Walk Down Wall Street". Don't listen to anon. Don't listen to me. Educate yourself and realize that the get rich quick scheme is just that. Self-discipline and patience make a good investor. Intelligence helps, don't get me wrong, but there's a fucking formula that virtually guarantees a comfy life at a certain net worth. Do you think you are smarter than the market? Do you think you are smarter than the assholes like me that went to college for way to goddamn long and did way too fucking many consolidations and M&As to count? You might be. Patience and self-discipline trump knowledge and intelligence sometimes in this field. Some fucking retard following the 100-age rule for stock/bond allocation in index ETFS will statistically beat your fucking ass in the long term with returns. I'm being serious. Most professionally managed accounts fail to even beat the S&P 500. That 1/3 that do is what you are looking for though.
>
I think I'm a little too impatient when it comes to buying/selling shares, at least in the short term. I'd rather have a set call/put and watch my stock price/theta closely and either win or lose quickly.
Dopamine is a hell of a drug and it doesn't last long.
>Just wanted to know your opinions on all of this. I use Think or Swim to look for entry points (poorly, mind you. Trying to improve.).
I'd tell you to invest 50% into NOBL or VTI and do whatever the fuck you want with the rest...

TL;DR: A blockchain lending platform, somewhat similar with SALT (fiat lending with crypto collateral) and Ethlend (decentralized peer lending), but with the added participation of guarantors, and which already integrates some innovative partners: Hive (blockchain based invoice pre-payments), Bloom (decentralized credit scoring), Datawallet (user-centric data repository) and Cynopsis (crypto-focused compliance). I write all this without a deep understanding of the lending business (we just get our knee caps busted if we don't pay up, where I'm from) and with an honest passion for Ethlend's vision. However, I can't ignore the well written whitepaper, the CEO who is basically the inventor of online credits, the working demo and overall the well thought-through nature of their project. The $25mn cap looks promising, looking at SALT and Ethlend caps. I will invest big.

Name some coins like:

Civic, OmiseGo, ChainLink, Basic Attention Token, Raiden network, Quantstamp

All quality coins that do something fundamentally different. They are not redundant like 99% of the other coins out there. Other coins like this?
