One thing I’ve noticed from the various jobs I worked is that there is almost always someone who sunconsciously knows its not going to get better and pretty much makes the job their entire life, lapping up whatever shit falls onto them with a smile on their face. These are the ones who do like 10 different jobs at once for the same shit pay, often with little help at all, for years on end. And never once does the thought of so much as looking for something else or asking the boss to chill the fuck out a bit with some of that shit cross their minds. They don’t even advance, they’ll just do the same shitty thing for the same shitty pay for decades on end, probably in the same shitty corner. Its kind of like the opposite of the kind of guy who gets a fire under his ass and does anything he can to get out of that spot, these people instead basically sink into the mud. I’m not harping on them, its just something I’ve noticed over the years. Doesn’t matter if its a store, a warehouse, or an office, there’s always somebody who is like this.
