So are there any good index funds that I should watch while everything drops?
I'm looking for stuff that pays out a good dividend, perhaps 1.5+%.

My goal is a long game with a steady (and diversified) build up while I sacrifice cash to things that are more flavor of the month/year.

Hey guys, new investor here.
I'm looking to invest in dividend paying stocks and I suppose index funds.
What i'm looking for is to take advantage of this market drop to buy as things get low but i'm not exactly interested in just selling off the stocks in any short term. In fact, i'm more interested in something that has a steady growth or perhaps staying power that just gets hit by this low point which we can take advantage of.

Anybody got some things that they're currently watching or that they're interested in?
I'm doing the research I can but I'm fairly new. I just found out about index funds today and I'm still unsure how they're any different from a mutual fund.

I'm not looking to buy into anything right away, mind you, as I'm watching the drop today and thinking that it might drop even further.

Current portfolio is pic related.
Yeah I know it's off target but I was kind of experimenting a bit.
