I got one of those scam emails where they want me to pay $10k to make $1 million or whatever, I think they're from Burkina Faso, I've been emailing back and forth with them for a few weeks now trying to get them to pay me $1k for me to put the $10k down. The English used by Africans is super ornate and interesting, I put it only 2nd to the English used in Indian political conversations and newspapers in terms of idiosyncracy, i think it's basically a holdover from British colonialism.
